We also offer a growing library of educational materials built around 12 core lesson plans that can be used throughout the month. Each lesson is structured as a full day of learning, with an interactive lecture followed by a hands-on activity that brings concepts like coral reefs, ocean health, and conservation to life for students. The materials are designed so that teachers, club leaders, and program coordinators can pick them up and run with them, even if they are not marine scientists themselves.
Every institution is welcome to request one lesson plan for free to try in their classroom or program. If you are interested in building a full sequence of lessons or developing a custom program around your group’s goals, we can work out a tailored partnership on a case-by-case basis, including additional materials, support, and potential long-term collaborations.
