Ambassador Grant: $100 to Spark Action

The Ambassador Grant is a small, fast grant to help you host a simple event, make a useful outreach piece, or kick off a campus initiative. It is meant to remove tiny roadblocks so you can get people moving.

What we fund

  • Printing flyers, posters, and handouts

  • Basic supplies for a tabling event or classroom visit

  • Cleanup materials like gloves and bags

  • Local transit or modest rideshare to and from the activity

  • Small refreshments for volunteers, non-alcoholic only

  • Simple props or materials for a short educational demo

What we do not fund

  • Tuition, wages, or general stipends

  • Alcohol, gift cards, or prizes with no learning value

  • High-end gear or electronics

  • Travel unrelated to the activity

  • Projects without a clear plan or safety basics

Who should apply

  • Students, club leaders, and community organizers

  • People who can plan a small, clear action and follow through

  • Coralite interns are welcome to apply, but Coralite status is not required and does not guarantee funding

What you deliver

  • One short recap, 200 to 400 words, with what you did and why it mattered

  • 5 to 10 photos or screenshots we can share

  • Simple numbers, like attendance, items collected, or materials distributed

  • A tag for our accounts when you post: @projectanchordown and our site

How to apply

Email us to request the Ambassador Grant application and submit your idea.

  • Write to projectanchordown@gmail.com with the subject Ambassador Grant Request + Your Name

  • Include your CV or resume and 3 to 5 sentences describing the activity, date, place, and what the $100 will cover

  • We will send the application form and next steps

How the money works

We can reimburse with receipts or make a direct purchase when possible. We will confirm what fits your plan so you can stay focused on the work.

How we choose

We look for a clear plan, a real audience, and a small outcome we can measure. Safety, accessibility, and community benefit matter.

Simple ideas we like

  • A table on campus with a coral bleaching explainer and a sign-up for a local cleanup

  • A mini “storm drain to reef” display for a science class

  • A dorm-common-room workshop on reef-safe habits with take-home one-pagers

  • A focused cleanup of one block with a quick data tally and map

Questions or ready to request the applicationEmail projectanchordown@gmail.com. Tell us what you want to do and what you need. We will point you to the right next step.
